Primitive Site #2
This site is right next to the stream which provides a perfect background to the picturesque location. There’s a fire ring, a small bench overlooking the stream, and plenty of room for a couple of tents. There is no table at the site, but we brought a folding table which worked out great. Portable toilets were close by, and the main campground with the pool, store, and playground are a short 5 minute walk up the hill. The view of the mountains from the pool is very nice. Sites 1 and 3 are not visible from site 2, so you are well isolated. The kids enjoyed fishing in the stream as well as the nearby lake which also has paddle boats. The hosts were very friendly and even helped our neighbors set up their tents! We really enjoyed this site and can’t wait to return!

This place is so beautiful! It was peaceful and quiet and near, so many great trails and Austin was such a help to us with some tricky tent maneuvers. Carolyn was always gracious with information and Guidance. We had to leave a bit early because it was threatening to thunder, but we would’ve loved to of stayed as long as possible!

10/10. Can’t wait to go back
This campsite was amazing! Very secluded and we fell asleep to the babbling brook a few feet from our tent. We can’t wait until our next camping trip! We highly recommend “primitive site 2.” It was huge and far from 1 and 3. The site was clean and ready for us when we got there. We bought wood at the campsite office across the street.

Primitive Site #2
There had been a lot of rain lately, and more on the way the night that we got there. The groundskeeper, Rich, said that Primitive Sight #2 was pretty muddy, and thought it is possible that my SUV would get stuck. I reached out to Carolyn and she allowed us to camp at one of the tent spots, across from the office. This was helpful, because T-Mobile did not get service there, but we could connect to the WiFi. It rained all night, but we were prepared and stayed dry. I would love to go back and see what the Primitive camping site is like, as that was the original plan. It is beautiful country there, so I will be back.

10/10 Recommended
This place was was amazing. So peaceful. The campsites are located at the bottom of an open field, just inside the treeline. We were the only ones camping that night so Carolyn let us pick our campsite. We were able to place our tent quite close to the stream and it provided the perfect white noise for our sleep! As promised there were bathrooms and showers in the baige building next to the office. The people at the main campground were so friendly and very helpful.
10/10 would definitely recommend this spot for other primitive campers.
